tokana's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cactus/Cacti? Chris and I decided Monday night that the timing was right to go to Phoenix, AZ and visit our friends Doug & James. Doug was just hired by Mesa (a West Coast airline) and had the week off. Chris had a few days off and I'm still not actually working. Timing was too perfect, so we went. It was a bit overwhelming since it was so last minute. Monday I'm bumming around the house bored and Tuesday I'm driving down a highway staring at cacti and mountains! We had a really good time. We both got tans (well, Chris got burnt), we made a road trip out to Sedona and we spent a morning in Ikea. It was great. As soon as I get the pictures downloaded I'll post a new album so everyone can be jealous of our trip. ;-) On another note. I finally got my act together and I'm going to follow through with the idea I had to provide tech support in the home. I'm going to call myself a 'PCoach'. I already have one client (Chris's mom), but I also have several other prospects and I met a woman on the way back from Phoenix who might be able to use my services. During the flight out Chris and I did some major business planning and I'm working on developing a website. I haven't yet decided on a domain, but I've narrowed it down. I also came up with some ideas for a logo and a color scheme. I could really use some input, so if you have some time to check it out I'd really appreciate it. Just click here...I've been applying for jobs around town. I've had some good leads, but I'm struggling with the pay rate offered compared to the hassle (long commute, high stress, over qualified etc) so I think I'm going to really try to develop PCoach and work part time in retail at a national chain so I can transfer if we have to move again. Still no official news or updates on the Delta/Comair situation. There is a rumor, that we like, that G.E. has already purchased Comair and it hasn't been announced yet...we're hoping that is true but we probably won't know for quite a while. It's really late and I was supposed to be in bed hours ago, so that's all for now.
