tokana's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Speechless (part II) It happened again, twice in less than a week. I was made speechless. C called me at work around 10am on Friday. "I just got a call from Comair, they have an opening in their May 9th class, they want to know if I can fill it..." Wow. What do I say to that?!? He was supposed to start May 16th, I thought I had an entire week to adjust to him leaving and him being gone. A week to say goodbye, make arrangements etc. Nope. You can't turn something like that down, that week means quite a bit of seniority, not to mention they only had one open spot and they called him out of all the other guys from DCA. He left at noon yesterday and was in Cinci by 2am. Yeah, I know I'll see him again. I know he'll come visit blah blah blah. But I will see him maybe three times in three months! I'm used to seeing him hours each day - it's an adjustment people, I need time! I've been through worse, I'll live, I just need time. Needless to say, I am now even more motivated to find a scholarship or job up north and get out of FL! *sigh* I'm off to bed with Roger as my comfort. 11:09 p.m. - May 09, 2005 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
