Buzzed on Life

Decided it was time to add an update.

Intern
All is going well. He's in his second week and so far the only issue is that he has a slight temper. He sort of reminds me of an ex, one that turned out to be psycho...but so far he's a good worker. I think I could have found someone better if I had more time, but under the circumstances he's very good. So far all that he's done is make work harder because he's being trained, but I keep telling myself that at least there's a light at the end of the tunnel now.

C
His birthday is today (Happy Bday!). I got him the Oakley sunglasses he's been lusting for about four months now. John got him the third season of Family Guy which is on TV right now. Tonight I made him and some guests lamb chops, mashed taters, tomatoes and fresh mozerlla, corn on the cob and DQ ice cream fridge. Tomorrow I take him to the airport for his Comair interview tomorrow. I'm really excited for him and really proud.

Life
John and I booked our vacation to Seattle last night. We go June 22nd through June 28th. We're staying with C's parents but renting a car and doing all sorts of things. I feel a little guilty about spending the money, but I'm psyched.
I'm thinking about getting a job as a hostess or something so I can earn some extra money. Maybe at Outback since it's across the street. I need the extra money to pay off my debt by the end of the year...stupid ambitious goals of mine.

Parents
They just got back from a week in CA together, big deal for them. They had a really good time. They both seemed very happy when they got back - first time in a long time I remember seeing them both that happy at the same time. It was nice.

Friends
Close friend of the family, Megan, won 6th in pole vaulting for the state! She also got a job at the company I work for AND she was invited to an invtiational track meet AND she got a new puppy. Yeah for Meg. Frankie is coming over tomorrow - I haven't seen him in months so I'm psyched about that.

That's more than enough. I had deep thoughts on life, but I'm a bit buzzed from gin an tonics so I'll address those later.

In sum: life is crazy, some good some bad but overall I'm happy. I hope life is grand for you too!
